2021 onto 2022
Over the past year, i’ve been focusing on video more so than just Imagery. Don’t get me wrong, imagery is impactful and still one of my focuses — however, my clients and myself have seen greater returns on short form video campaigns. Telling stories in a visually appealing way that is re-purposeful across multiple use cases and engaging with your ideal audience is where the results tend to be.
The biggest takeaway is consistency — Making sure that your brand shows up in the places that matter to the target market in ways that are intriguing; but, not spammy. I aim to create short form videos that you want to watch; but, don’t feel like a traditional ad.
Yes, we want appealing, professional video; however, it shouldn't always scream buy, buy, buy to the customer. The customer should relate and feel something that makes them want to be a part of and support the brand — that is how you go from convincing a one off purchase to a full on client, who feels something when they use your products and wants to share that with the world around them.
I’m providing use case examples for consistency with short form video for clients. It started with an organic reach of 62k in a week on Instagram and now I’m at 133k this week and 281,584 views (477,663 impressions) for the month. In these past few weeks, short form video resulted in a gain of over 400 net followers.
Looking back, I’m thankful for every campaign i’ve had the opportunity to plan, launch, implement, analyze, and grow with in 2021. I’m excited to continue with bigger and more impactful projects in 2022. I’m excited to jump hats and involve colleagues in larger projects to bring ideas to life for clients in a “this is us” way that surpasses expectations. I’ve dabbled in everything from creative direction, planning, casting, coordination, imagery, cinematography, full on films, and media strategy. I’m always learning and growing; I’m excited to see what 2022 holds and all the connections and friendships along the way.
Here’s some imagery from 2021 that resonates with me. Hope you enjoy it!
Happy Holidays, Mele Kalikimaka, and Happy New Year to you and yours!
Best,
Nicole
